Last season the Philadelphia Eagles had somewhat of a breakout year as they saw superstar Michael Vick take over the starting quarterback position and resurrect his career in the NFL. Not only was Vick back to form as a superstar in this league, but he had brought another dimension to his game by being just as dominant through the air as he was on the ground. Continue Reading…
With the Oakland Raiders currently having no commitment to starting quarterback Jason Campbell beyond next season, there could be some decisions made during the upcoming NFL regular season about the stability of the position moving forward. The quarterback position in Oakland has been a big problem ever since former NFL MVP Rich Gannon decided to call it quits, but Jason Campbell did show some signs of promise last season and he struck up some chemistry with player like running back Darren McFadden, wide receiver Jacoby Ford and tight end Zach Miller. The NBA just got that much more entertaining during halftime and after games as TNT has officially signed outspoken personality and future Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal to join Charles Barkley, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith. The boys on TNT during the NBA regular season are entertaining enough with just Charles Barkley cracking jokes and being himself, but the show will get even more fun to watch in the future with Shaq joining the crew. There is still no telling when the upcoming NFL regular season will begin as the NFL lockout is still underway, but veteran wide receiver and free agent Randy Moss is more than ready to get the season started as he is in freakishly good shape. This was reported by the future Hall of Famer’s agent Joel Segal who talked to NFL.com about his client’s work ethic during the NFL lockout. Continue Reading…
The Donovan McNabb saga in the nation’s capital continues as the future of the six-time Pro Bowler with the Washington Redskins is very much up in the air right now. With head coach Mike Shanahan making it be known that he is basically done with Donovan McNabb as his starter under center in Washington, the Redskins have been actively looking for other options at the quarterback position and made a lot of inquiries in terms of possible trades. The Chicago Bears came just one game shy of making it back to the Super Bowl last season as they were unable to get past the arch rival Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game. Despite not being able to get the best of the eventual Super Bowl champion Packers, the Bears were a very good football team last season and could be a perennial Super Bowl title contender in the years to come. The Dwight Howard trade rumors have been all anyone can talk about in the NBA besides the NBA lockout. With Howard being one of the best all-around players in the league and arguably the best center in the NBA since Shaq in his prime, there is no question that plenty of teams in the league will be doing everything within their power to bring in the defensive beast. The Kurt Rambis era in Minnesota is officially over as the Timberwolves shot callers have decided to fire the head coach after just two years. Not only did Rambis deserve to be fired after an extremely disappointing NBA-worst 17-65 last year, but during his time in Minnesota the former Los Angeles Lakers’ star won just 32 games with an ugly 32-132 record over two seasons. Last year the New England Patriots were arguably the best team in the NFL after the halfway point of the season. Despite being without future Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss after trading him to the Minnesota Vikings, the New England Patriots were able to continue to win football games as quarterback Tom Brady became the frontrunner for the NFL MVP and eventually won the award.
