With the Oakland Raiders currently having no commitment to starting quarterback Jason Campbell beyond next season, there could be some decisions made during the upcoming NFL regular season about the stability of the position moving forward. The quarterback position in Oakland has been a big problem ever since former NFL MVP Rich Gannon decided to call it quits, but Jason Campbell did show some signs of promise last season and he struck up some chemistry with player like running back Darren McFadden, wide receiver Jacoby Ford and tight end Zach Miller.
At this point in time, the Oakland Raiders are almost certainly weighing their options at quarterback and could be open to a change at the position during next season or immediately after; depending the success Jason Campbell has. Campbell seems to be a good fit as of right now, but that could quickly chance if the team struggles on offense next season.
One option the Oakland Raiders might explore before next season is bringing in controversial rookie quarterback Terrell Pryor out of Ohio State. Obviously, the stain of JaMarcus Russell on this storied NFL franchise is still fresh in everyone’s minds in the Bay Area and might be enough to convince the Raiders’ decision makers not to make this move, but Terrell Pryor could be steal right now and an opportunity that Oakland might not want to pass on.
There is no question that Terrell Pryor is an extremely talented football player and the new breed of quarterback in the league that many teams seem to be interested in these days. With Michael Vick (Philadelphia Eagles) and Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers) being the future of the quarterback position in the NFL, a lot of teams around the league will be looking to grab a quarterback that can run and pass moving forward and Pryor might be the next great hybrid QB in this league.

We can use him as our back up he can learn for a couple of year I refuse to wait for another year to get a yound QB
Hue Jackson has already said many times that Jason Campbell is the starting quarterback.
Rich Gannon didn’t just retire, he broke his neck.
Oakland should wait for next year for Case Keenum from Houston and maybe even Ryan Lindley from San Diego State.
I’m a huge buckeyes fan and even more a Browns fan but I really hope the raiders and any team for that matter is smart enough to leave this Guy alone. TERRELLE PRYOR SUCKS
