The NBA just got that much more entertaining during halftime and after games as TNT has officially signed outspoken personality and future Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal to join Charles Barkley, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith. The boys on TNT during the NBA regular season are entertaining enough with just Charles Barkley cracking jokes and being himself, but the show will get even more fun to watch in the future with Shaq joining the crew.
This is no real surprise as everyone knew that Shaquille O’neal had a career after basketball, but NBA fans have definitely started to get excited about the Big AARP joining Charles Barkley and company. Unfortunately, with the NBA lockout still underway and no end in sight, there is no telling when we will see Shaq make his debut on TNT.
As of right now, the players and owners are still far apart on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and a lot of players around the league have been seriously considering signing with teams overseas during the NBA lockout if it continues through the NBA regular season.
With that being said, the chances of there being no basketball played in the NBA this year are looking very likely as the consensus is that this NBA lockout could last much longer than the one in 1998. This is nothing but bad news for everyone involved and the fans stand to suffer more than most, especially if the NFL lockout continues as well.
Hopefully, a new CBA deal can be finalized before the NBA regular season is set to get underway and the NBA lockout will officially end, but most people believe that at least a part of the upcoming NBA regular season will be lost.
