Could Brett Favre make yet another comeback to the NFL?

The Brett Favre saga continues as the talk of the legendary quarterback returning to the NFL has begun yet again. There is no question that Favre’s final season with the Minnesota Vikings was a disappointment to say the least, but even though he will almost certainly no be returning to Minnesota, the future Hall of Famer might sign with another team before next season.

At this point in time, the Brett Favre saga is pretty ridiculous and NFL analysts might just be going through the motions as this time of the year has been Favre time for quite some time. After last season though, the Silver Fox looked like he had finally broke down as his consecutive start streak was snapped and his play on the field was disappointing.

Despite the fact that Brett Favre has most likely played his last game in the NFL, the potential for a comeback with another team is starting to get a lot of discussion. Even though no team in the league wants to take on a quarterback over 40 and could do without the negative press that might come with the perennial Pro Bowler, there are quite a few teams around the league that could use a veteran quarterback like Brett Favre under center.

Not only can Brett Favre help a struggling franchise get into the playoffs next season, but the veteran quarterback could help mentor a young and/or rookie quarterback get his feet wet. The consensus right now is that Favre is finally done in the NFL and might look to become an NFL analyst moving forward, but with teams like the Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans and the Seattle Seahawks looking for a quarterback the legendary QB might give it one more shot.

please do not massage the idea that he would return to football

Who would want this guy? I am not saying that he has no abilities, but I don’t understand why the media is still using the term “comeback.” In my opinion, this has nothing to do with the coming back, it has to do with the drama queen bullcrap he pulls at the end of every recent season. Favre is the Ted Bundy of Quarterbacks: he is a “serial quitter”. That is what I take away from his actions, not that he keeps wanting to come back, but that he keeps quitting.

    -end of rant-

I think he should sign with a UFL team. Be great news and give a little interest to the league.
