There is still no telling when the upcoming NFL regular season will begin as the NFL lockout is still underway, but veteran wide receiver and free agent Randy Moss is more than ready to get the season started as he is in freakishly good shape. This was reported by the future Hall of Famer’s agent Joel Segal who talked to NFL.com about his client’s work ethic during the NFL lockout.
Apparently, Randy Moss has finally gotten the memo that no team in the league is willing to take on his baggage anymore and something was needed to be done in order to convince teams around the league that he is still one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Moss’ agent has said that the veteran wideout has been working out twice a day throughout the spring and summer.
This could be just a ploy for Randy Moss to sign with a new team once the owners and players strike up a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and end the NFL lockout, but I believe that the former New England Patriots wide receiver is gearing up for one of his best seasons of his career in the NFL or trying to convince Bill Belichick and company to sign him.
Whatever the case may be, the veteran wide receiver is trying to prove that he is no longer the troubled wideout he was just a year ago and is ready to show his doubters that he can still get the job done on the NFL level.
Reportedly, the New York Jets are interested in signing Randy Moss if they can’t convince free agents Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards to re-sign with the team. If Moss did go to New York, the Jets would almost certainly better next season as long as he can strike up some chemistry with quarterback Mark Sanchez.
