After a disappointing first season with the New York Jets, backup quarterback Tim Tebow failed to make an impression in the Big Apple with little chance of being able to prove himself with the team deciding to stick with starter Mark Sanchez and third string quarterback Greg McElroy.
The Jets acquired Tebow from the Denver Broncos after the former Heisman trophy winner lead the Broncos to an AFC West division title and a playoff berth as a result. Tebow became a star in Denver and was thought to possibly transcend his success in New York if able to get under center with Sanchez on the bench. Unfortunately, the team never gave him that opportunity with head coach Rex Ryan going with McElroy instead late in the season.
As a result of the Jets basically brushing him aside last season, the team has decided to trade or release the Florida product during the off-season. The Jets were thought to reach out to the Jacksonville Jaguars to take about a potential deal with the team centered in Tebow’s hometown. With the Jaguars not exactly stacked at the quarterback position, Jacksonville was the logical choice, but that move will not happen.
The Jets have let it be known that they’ll be shopping Tebow during the NFL combine. The Jaguars won’t be interested in Tebow with the team willing to roll the dice on Blaine Gabbert for at least one more season.
With the Jaguars off the table, Tebow’s future in the NFL is uncertain with the Jets possibly being forced to release the quarterback due to a lack of interest in a trade to acquire Tebow. Although no suitors are clear at this point in time, Tebow will find a new team in one way or another.

First off, as the writer states “the team has decided to trade or release the Florida product during the off-season”…Really? Says WHO? Certainly not Head Coach Rex Ryan or the new GM of The Jets. Lemme guess, this hack is relying on “unnamed sources”.
The writer states “The Jets have let it be known that they’ll be shopping Tebow during the NFL combine”…Really? Again, I ask… SAYS WHO??? I’ve been watching the NFL combine for 4 days now, not a mention of Tim Tebow anywhere, nor has he been sighted anywhere near Indianapolis. If this is so “known” that The Jets are shopping Tebow here, WHO let this be known? Certainly not the head coach…certainly not the new GM…certainly not ANYONE who this writer can connect a name to.
If The Jets are smart, they will really rethink their use of Tim Tebow and come to the realization that the answer to what this team really need THEY ALREADY HAVE — it’s Tim Tebow. Rex Ryan needs to wake up and pull his head out of Mark Sanchez’s ASS. Tim Tebow can provide the spark this team needs if Rex will only just give “Tebow Time” a try. It is a proven winner. What part of that track record are The Jets refusing to see — and why?
