#1 Houston Texans (3-0)
The Texans continue to prove that they’re among the elite class in the NFL with an impressive win over Peyton Manning’s Denver Broncos. Along with taking down the Broncos this past Sunday, Matt Schaub showed he’s making a run for the NFL MVP award throwing for 290 yards and four touchdowns while leading his Houston squad to a perfect 3-0 start.
#2 Atlanta Falcons (3-0)
As if the first two weeks of the season weren’t impressive enough for Matt Ryan and company, the Falcons continued their onslaught on any team that stands in their way this season by taking down the San Diego Chargers with ease at Qualcomm Stadium, 27-3.
Atlanta may have convinced the majority of the doubters that they’re the team to beat in the NFC Conference this season.
#3 Baltimore Ravens (2-1)
Losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 was costly, but Joe Flacco’s squad bounced back in a big way in Week 3 with a win over the New England Patriots, 31-30.
It’s been a tough road right out of the gate for John Harbaugh’s squad, but Baltimore continues to fight through it and make a case as a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the AFC Conference once again.
#4 San Francisco 49ers (2-1)
After consecutive wins over the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, the 49ers were exposed in Week 3 by the lowly Minnesota Vikings. Offense might ultimately be the Achilles heel for Jim Harbaugh’s squad this season.
#5 Arizona Cardinals (3-0)
As arguably the biggest surprise team of the season thus far in the NFL, the Cardinals have defied the odds week in and week out with three straight wins to start the season against the Seattle Seahawks, Patriots and Eagles.
Kevin Kolb may not be a bust for Arizona after all.
