#1 Houston Texans (9-1)
The Texans were given a run for their money quite unexpectedly in Week 11 against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars. With only one win on the season, the Jaguars were thought to be another easy win for the red-hot Texans, but that wasn’t the case with Jacksonville forcing overtime in this offensive shootout.
Houston was ultimately able to come out on top with Matt Schaub leading the way, but the Texans’ defense has become a question mark moving forward.
#2 Atlanta Falcons (9-1)
With a career-high five interceptions in Week 11, Matt Ryan was his MVP-caliber self on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals as he simply couldn’t get going against a team that should’ve been shredded to pieces by the potent passing game of the Falcons.
Despite arguably the worst performance of his career, Ryan was able to lead Atlanta to a ninth win on the season.
#3 San Francisco 49ers (7-2-1)
A quarterback controversy has started to brew in the Bay Area with Colin Kaepernick filling in for the injured Alex Smith and taking full advantage of the opportunity with his best game as a pro thus far.
The 49ers were able to bounce back from the disappointing tie against the St. Louis Rams last week with a win over the Chicago Bears.
#4 Green Bay Packers (7-3)
Although the first five games of the season were rocky for the Packers, Aaron Rodgers and company have gotten right back on track with five straight wins and a first place standing in the NFC North.
#5 Baltimore Ravens (8-2)
The Ravens were able to chalk up the first win of the season against the arch division rival Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday and will attempt to clinch AFC North division title with another win over Pittsburgh in Week 13.
