NFL Power Rankings Week 14: Broncos Move Up, Ravens Fall

#1 Houston Texans (11-1)

Coming into Week 14, few teams can be compared to the Texans in terms of dominance on both sides of the football. Houston continues to dominate the competition in the AFC and have a clinched a playoff spot as a result of their 11th win of the season.

The Texans will try to keep the Indianapolis at bay in the AFC South in order to wrap up the division title in the coming weeks.

#2 Atlanta Falcons (11-1)

The Falcons are perhaps the only 11-1 team in NFL history that no one seems to be taking seriously. Matt Ryan and company may have dominated the competition in the NFC this season, but have benefited from one of the easiest schedules of any team in the league thus far.

Only time will tell if this Atlanta squad is truly a force to be reckoned with.

#3 New England Patriots (9-3)

With a vastly improved defense and an offense that hasn’t missed a beat despite the loss of Rob Gronkowski; the Patriots continue to roll with another AFC East division title in the bag and the distinction as the one team that might be able to get the best of the Texans in the playoffs.

New England faces off against Houston in Week 14.

#4 San Francisco 49ers (8-3-1)

The Colin Kaepernick experiment is sitting at 2-1 after the loss to the division rival St. Louis Rams in Week 13.

Jim Harbaugh remains adamant about Kaepernick’s starting status heading into Week 14 against the Miami Dolphins.

#5 Denver Broncos (9-3)

Peyton Manning has been red-hot as of late leading his Broncos to seven straight wins and an AFC West division title.

Manning clearly hasn’t missed a beat despite off-season neck surgery and might have helped build a legitimate contender in the Mile High City this season.
