#1 Green Bay Packers (11-0)
Many people believed that a perfect season was unlikely for the Green Bay Packers this season, but after the first 11 games of the NFL regular season this team continues to fire on all cylinders with 11 straight wins and arguably the best team in the league.
Whether or not the Packers can win the next five games remains to be seen, but I believe it is definitely possible as long as they can stay healthy. Continue Reading…
With four wins in the last five games, a lot of people around the NFL have been debating about whether or not second-year quarterback and fan favorite Tim Tebow is the real deal and the right man for the job under center for the Denver Broncos. The one loss to the Detroit Lions was pretty bad in his second start of the season, but the four wins were impressive and hard to ignore. Continue Reading…
Chicago Bears @ Oakland Raiders Sun. Nov. 27, 2011 4:05 p.m. EST
The Chicago Bears suffered a major blow this week as they found out that franchise quarterback Jay Culter could be done for the season with a broken thumb that required surgery. Without Cutler under center, the Bears offense is considered to be one dimensional as they will have to strictly go with the ground game and depend on up-and-coming running back Matt Forte to put points on the board. Continue Reading…
San Francisco 49ers @ Baltimore Ravens Thurs. Nov. 24, 2011 8:20 p.m. EST
In what is being called the Harbaugh Bowl, the up-and-coming San Francisco 49ers will go on the road in Week 12 to take on a very good Baltimore Ravens squad on Thanksgiving Day. Not only is this game one of the most anticipated matchups this week with both teams having the potential to reach the Super Bowl this season, but this will be the first time in NFL history that two head coaches that are brothers will go head-to-head. Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions Thurs. Nov 24, 2025 12:30 p.m. EST
One of the best Thanksgiving Day matchups in recent history will take place this Thursday when the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers go on the road to take on the up-and-coming division rival Detroit Lions. Not only will the Packers be putting their perfect 10-0 record on the line on Thanksgiving Day, but they will face a team that many people believe might be able to compete with them in a classic shootout between high-powered offenses. The Chicago Bears came into this NFL regular season as the defending NFC North division champions and with a serious chip on their shoulders after losing to the arch division rival Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game. With the loss to the Packers still fresh in the minds of the Bears players, Chicago was determined to get back on track this season as one of the elite teams in the NFC Conference. Continue Reading…
Carolina Panthers @ Detroit Lions Sun. Nov. 20, 2011 1 p.m. EST
After the first five weeks of the NFL regular season, the Detroit Lions were considered to be one of the elite teams in the league with a perfect 5-0 record and a seemingly unstoppable offense led by up-and-coming quarterback Matthew Stafford. Not only was the offense of Detroit firing on all cylinders, but the defense was transformed into a force to be reckoned with as second-year defensive beast Ndamukong Suh intimidating opposing offenses. Continue Reading…
Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Redskins Sun. Nov. 20, 2011 1 p.m. EST
The last few weeks have been great for the Dallas Cowboys as they have gone from a perennial underachiever to a team with high hopes of making the playoffs and winning their division title. There are still seven games left in the regular season and anything can happen, but the Cowboys have something they haven’t had in years with a dominant ground game. Continue Reading…
Before Week 10, the Oakland Raiders were a team on the up-and-up in the NFL with a potentially bright future, but still struggling with their new starting quarterback Carson Palmer. Even though Palmer’s first two games with the Raiders were rough and pretty disappointing considering he threw three interceptions in each game, head coach Hue Jackson stuck by his new quarterback as he knew it was a matter of time before the former Heisman trophy winner got back to form. New York Jets @ Denver Broncos Thurs. Nov. 17, 2011 8:20 p.m. EST
The New York Jets and the Denver Broncos didn’t have much time to recover from Week 10 as these two teams will go head-to-head in Week 11 on Thursday night football in the Mile High City.
This is an interesting matchup for many reasons, but perhaps the most interesting is the Broncos’ Tim Tebow going up against the lockdown defense of the Jets. With Tebow completing just two of eight passes last week in the win over the Kansas City Chiefs (17-10), the Broncos used an offense strictly based on the run game and surprisingly enough it worked like a charm.
