Philadelphia Eagles @ Buffalo Bills Sun. Oct. 9, 2011 1 p.m. EST
The Philadelphia Eagles came into this NFL regular season as a vastly improved football team on both sides of the ball after making numerous Pro Bowl additions to their squad. With primetime talent coming to Philly and superstar quarterback Michael Vick getting a contract extension worth $100 million, the Eagles were ready to contend for a Super Bowl title.
Unfortunately, the first four weeks of the NFL regular season have been brutal to say the least for the Eagles as they have lost three games in a row and are on the verge of possibly making a coaching change if the trend continues in Philadelphia.
In Week 5, the Philadelphia Eagles will have to dust themselves off and get back to work as they will have their work cut out for them once again against a very good Buffalo Bills squad led by up-and-coming quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Bills may be coming off their first loss of the season to the Cincinnati Bengals, but no team has been more resourceful this season besides the Detroit Lions than the Buffalo Bills.
With that being said, the Philadelphia Eagles will have a tough task ahead of them with this game basically being a must-win situation after receiving all the negative criticism for the three straight losses. If Michael Vick and company can pull together in Week 5, I believe they might be able to get the win and possibly blowout the Bills, but Buffalo is about as unpredictable as any team in the league right now and will most likely give the Eagles a run for their money.
As of right now, the Philadelphia Eagles are favored to get win over the Buffalo Bills with a -3 point spread. This spread is right on the money considering the situation, but this week the Eagles should bounce back and get the convincing win over the Bills.
Take the Eagles at -3.
