New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills Sun. Nov. 6, 2011 1 p.m. EST
Perhaps the most anticipated matchup in Week 9 of the NFL regular season will be the Buffalo Bills defending their home field against the division rival New York Jets. With both of these teams aiming for a for the playoff spot in the AFC Conference and fighting it out of the AFC East division title, this game will be crucial each squad and a must-win situation.
Ironically enough, the New York Jets will be the team in more of a must-win situation in Week 9 as Mark Sanchez and company have struggled in the first half of the season and will be looking to gain some ground in the AFC East division. The Jets have been able to get back on track as of late with a two straight wins over the Miami Dolphins (24-6) and the San Diego Chargers (27-21), but this week’s AFC East division showdown will be arguably their toughest challenge yet.
With the Buffalo Bills crushing the Washington Redskins last week (23-0), Ryan Fitzpatrick and his boys are now in first place in the AFC East division and have the edge to win the division title with one win over the New England Patriots earlier in the season. If the Bills can get the best of Rex Ryan’s squad in Week 9, they will be in great position to run the table in the division for the rest of the season.
As of right now, the Buffalo Bills have the slight edge in this AFC East division battle with a -2 point spread. This spread is pretty much on the money with the Bills looking like the better team and having home field advantage.
