NFL Week 4: Chicago Bears @ Dallas Cowboys

Monday Night Football: Bears @ Cowboys Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 8:30 p.m. ET

As arguably two of the most talented and streakiest teams in the NFL, there’s no telling how the rest of the season will progress for the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys. Both teams filled with Pro Bowl caliber talent and veteran leadership, but never seem to put it together on the consistent basis on the football field and as a result tend to fail to reach their potential.

Coming into this season, the Bears and Cowboys were considered legitimate forces to be reckoned with in the NFC Conference. After the first three games, neither team has really been able to impress with Chicago failing to protect Jay Cutler once again and Dallas playing well, but streaky to say the least.

In Week 4, these two potential playoff teams will go head-to-head in Arlington, Texas in an effort to reclaim their form. Even though both teams were able to come out with wins last week and have gotten off to 2-1 records as a result, the Bears and Cowboys will be looking to keep the streak alive in an effort to keep up in the race for the division title in the NFC North and NFC East.

The one thing the Cowboys have going from them coming into this matchup is their pass defense. Ranked second in the NFL by containing opposing quarterback to 137 yards per game, Cutler could have his hands full once again with a constant barrage of pressure from DeMarcus Ware and company.

With this game being played at Cowboys Stadium and Dallas clearly the better team at this point in the season, the -4 point spread in favor of Tony Romo and company isn’t much of a shock. This game will almost certainly be close, but in the end the Cowboys should get the win while covering the spread.

Take the Cowboys at -4.
