Browns @ Ravens Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 8:20 p.m. ET
After falling to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2, the Baltimore Ravens seemed to be back to their old ways of failing to live up to their potential. Even though the game came down to the wire with the Eagles barely getting the best of the Ravens, Baltimore should’ve won that football game and kept Michael Vick and company at bay.
Fortunately, despite dropping their first game of the season to the Eagles, the Ravens were able to bounce back in a big way in Week 3. Baltimore’s schedule is as tough of any team in the league to start the season, but they’ve responded well.
In Week 3, Joe Flacco and company went up against a familiar opponent in Tom Brady’s New England Patriots. Unlike Baltimore, New England has found it tough to get on track right out of the gate as they’ve lost two out of the first three games of the season.
With an impressive performance out of Flacco and up-and-coming wide receiver Torrey Smith, the Ravens were able to come out alive against a hungry Patriots squad. This week things will get a little easier for Baltimore as they will be defending their home turf against the lowly division rival Cleveland Browns.
Even though the Browns have shown some promise at times during the first three weeks of the season with rookie running back Trent Richardson leading the way, Cleveland still has a ways to go before competing with the likes of the Ravens.
As of right now, the Ravens are heavily favored to come out on top on Thursday night in Baltimore with a -9.5 point spread. A large spread, but something that Baltimore can cover with relative ease.
Take the Ravens at -9.5.
