Bills @ Colts Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 1 p.m. ET
Before heading into Week 11 against the New England Patriots, the Indianapolis Colts and rookie sensation Andrew Luck were on a roll. The Colts had won four games in a row and were motivated to continue the streak after hearing the news of head coach Chuck Pagano’s cancer being in remission.
Unfortunately, the Colts’ defense wasn’t ready for the offensive onslaught of Tom Brady and company. Bill Belichick’s squad embarrassed the Colts in Week 11 putting a season-high 59 points on the scoreboard and snapping Indianapolis’ win streak at four games.
In Week 12, Luck and company will have an opportunity to bounce back against another AFC East opponent in the Buffalo Bills. Although talented on both sides of the football, the Bills have failed to live up to expectations once again despite the enormous paychecks for Ryan Fitzpatrick and Mario Williams.
Heading into the 2012 NFL season, the Bills were thought to have one of the most promising defenses in the league with the addition of Williams to the pass rush. Despite pulling off one of the biggest free agent acquisitions of the off-season, Buffalo has been awful defensively with the worst run defense in the league coming into Week 12 against the Colts.
Although not a predominately running football team with relatively unknown running back in Vick Ballard coming out of the backfield this season, the Colts can get it done in the ground game as well as through the air.
With that being said, the Bills’ defense could be in for a long day with Luck and the resurgent Colts looking to bounce back quickly after the devastating loss to the Patriots a week earlier.
As of right now, the Colts are favored by -3 to get the win at home. Indianapolis will cover easily and may be the lock of the week.
Take the Colts at -3.
