Game 6: Knicks vs. Pacers Sat. May 18, 2025 8 p.m. ET

After coming out on top at Madison Square Garden in Game 5, the New York Knicks were able to stay alive for another day for a Game 6 back at Bankers Life Fieldhouse against the Indiana Pacers. Although the Knicks were able to extend the series with a win at home, the Pacers will be out in force in Game 6 back on their home floor.

One of the major disadvantages for the Pacers heading into Game 5 was the absence of George Hill. Indiana’s starting point guard suffered a concussion in Game 4 and was unable to pass concussion tests prior to the game in order to be cleared.

The status of Hill heading into Game 6 is uncertain at this point in time as he may very well miss a second straight game leaving the Pacers without their starting floor general.

An injury concern for the Knicks is Tyson Chandler’s playing status. Chandler injured his back in the win on Thursday night, but appears to be all right and ready to go for Game 6 on Saturday night.

As of right now, the Knicks are considered the underdogs heading into Saturday’s showdown. The Pacers are favored with a -5 point spread at home.

Although the Pacers appear to be the better all-around basketball team in this series and may ultimately advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, but I believe the Knicks will pull off the upset in Game 6.

Carmelo Anthony and company received a considerable confidence boost in Game 5 with their offense finally bouncing back after struggling immensely in the last three games. J.R. Smith was also able to bounce back leading me to believe Game 6 will be an all out battle.

Prediction: Knicks +5
