The end of the NFL lockout is near as the players and the owners seem to be very close on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and once the new deal gets the green light the teams around the league can start wheeling-and-dealing shortly thereafter. With so many talented free agents at skill positions when the new CBA gets finalized, a lot of teams around the league will be doing everything within their power to improve their squads by signing these free agents.
The one free agent that has the entire league buzzing right now is the recently rehabilitated veteran wide receiver Plaxico Burress. Even though Burress could ultimately turn out to be bust and over-the-hill, the resurgence of quarterback Michael Vick (Philadelphia Eagles) last season has really gotten Plaxico’s stock to rise recently.
Even though a lot of teams in need of a downfield threat heading into next season will be going after Plaxico Burress, the one other veteran wide receiver that could get the same amount of interest is perennial Pro Bowler Randy Moss.
So far, Moss has been linked to quite a few teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Jets, but something interesting happen recently as the Oakland Raiders could be thinking about bringing in their former wideout.
It is no secret that the Oakland Raiders and the Randy Moss relationship was a disaster from the word go, but the team made a drastic turnaround last season and is in desperate need of a downfield threat like Randy Moss. With Moss taking much less money these days, the veteran wideout might be open to returning to Oakland if they will have him.
If Randy Moss does return to the Raiders, Oakland will have one of the most dynamic offenses in the league with a dominant running game and a potent passing attack. It will be interesting to see just how serious the Raiders will be about bringing in a player that caused so much trouble for them a few years back.

This website can no longer be considered a viable outlet for Raiders information if they publish nonsense like this. Randy Moss under no circumstance should be a part of this organization. If he is even considered, I’m done with Oakland and Al Davis.
I can not beleive that this subject is even being considered. Sorry Scott but you obviously dont learn from mistakes. It does not matter what the reason was for Candy Moss getting the ax in Oakland. This clown should not be allowed to wear the silver and black as long he is playing football.
He might as well spit in the raiders nations face while he was there. He has disrespected and insulted anyone who ever put on a silver and black Jersey. That being said to hell with the pleg that goes by the name moss!
Randy Moss is a disgrace to all athletes of any sport. The players you want are the one’s who love the game and give their all to be the best player they can be. Players like Randy, T.O., Chad , ETC…… Are too into themselves to ever want to play to make your team the best…. Where are they now???? You sign Randy and he talks a bunch of crap he wants you to believe until you see him drop passes that the world knows he dropped on purpose…. He will never be what he could have been or could be with his ego and childish attitude
Why do the Raiders need Randy Moss as a downfield threat? Don’t we have DHB, Ford, Murphy, and others? I mean we have guys that can do what Moss does but that are younger and I feel better.
So take him now that the team is better, and forgive him for quitting on the previous Raider team that was struggling? No thanks. I’ll take a Richard Seymour type player every time, let this quitter play when he feels like it somewhere else.
No way Moss goes to Oakland again. Oakland almost sucked the football life out of him when he was there. Worst organization in football BY FAR!!!!!! He gave up $6,000,000 just to get out of that hell-hole. ANYWHERE would be better than Oakland. By the way….his 1550 yards and 11 TD’s in his two years there is better than any other reciever they have had by far since than.
No one comes close. So if he was SOOO bad….how bad are these other slackers they line up over there in Oakland. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!! OAKLAND SUCKS!!!!!!!
I’d rather die from anal electrocution than to have Moss back in the silver and black!
“PLEASE GOD NO”!!!!
You’ve got to be kidding me. I hope even Al Davis isn’t stupid enough to bring this cancer back for a 2nd time.
Randy…..NO…NO…NO!! He was an AH from the beginning….we don’t need him screwing up the locker room!
Being a Raiders fan and paying attention to every move the Raiders make and what’s been said inside of the Raiders organization, I know that Al Davis loves Randy Moss. After the Kiffin firing, Davis solely blamed Kiffin for getting rid of Randy Moss, Davis said he should have bypassed Kiffin’s decision to trade Moss.
I Don’t think it’s a matter of Davis wanting Moss? I think it’s a matter of Moss wanting to return to Oakland? Moss said somethings about the Raiders that was not good after leaving, which makes one think he wouldn’t want to return, like he intentionally brunt the bridge. You would also think that wouldn’t set well with Davis? because if there’s one thing Davis demands from his players is respect to Raider Nation. But, if there’s one player Davis could forgive it would be Randy Moss, just to prove kiffin wrong.
Big mistake. He loses interest if he isnt involved 100% of the time. He treats people around him terrible (Vikings). His attitude is cancerous. He has natural God given talents but a prima donna type mindset. He should have stayed with New England where he was at the top of his game with 21 touchdowns.
