#1 Green Bay Packers (8-0)
Eight games, eight wins! The Green Bay Packers continue to dominate the competition with superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers making a strong case for this season’s NFL MVP and one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time.
With the Packers reaching the halfway point in their Super Bowl title defense, things are looking very good for the cheese heads as they seem to have a legitimate shot of running the table and winning a second straight ring. The next real challenge will come on Thanksgiving Day when the Packers take on the division rival Detroit Lions.
#2 San Francisco 49ers (7-1)
Even though some people have still been very critical of veteran quarterback Alex Smith, the San Francisco 49ers continue to win football games with their sixth straight victory coming against the Washington Redskins.
Despite just being at the halfway point, the 49ers have basically already won the NFC West division crown and will finally make their way back into the playoffs. In Week 10, the 49ers will take on the New York Giants in what could be a tough matchup for Jim Harbaugh and company.
#3 Baltimore Ravens (6-2)
It is official! The Baltimore Ravens are for real and ready to emerge as one of the elite teams in the AFC Conference. With a second win over the arch division rival Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9, Joe Flacco and company proved that they are more than capable of winning the AFC North division title and could be the best team in the conference at season’s end.
#4 New Orleans Saints (6-3)
After a very disappointing loss to the lowly St. Louis Rams, the New Orleans Saints were able to bounce back in Week 9 with a convincing win over the division rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This was a big win for Drew Brees and his boys, but they will have no time to rest as next week they are set to take on another division rival in the Atlanta Falcons.
#5 Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3)
A second loss to the Baltimore Ravens has dropped the Pittsburgh Steelers down to No. 5 on this list, but they will surely be back with a vengeance if they can somehow meet up with their arch division rivals in the playoffs.
