Ever since the Dallas Mavericks won their first NBA title in franchise history, the league has been buzzing with potential trades and big-names players possibly heading elsewhere. The biggest name in the recent trade rumors has been perennial All-Star center and three-time Defensive Player of the Year Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic.
There is no question that Dwight Howard is the best center in the NBA today. No other big man in the game is even close to Howard and his well round game. Not only is Howard a beast on defense and has the awards to prove it, but he has improved on offense every single season and could be an unstoppable force in the paint in the near future.
With that being said, Dwight Howard’s trade value is through the roof right now as every team in the league would love to get their hands on this beast in the paint. The one team that has been mentioned as the most likely destination for Dwight Howard is the Los Angeles Lakers, but there are plenty of other squads that would like to add Superman to their current roster.
The New Jersey Nets, Chicago Bulls and the defending NBA champion Dallas Mavericks have shown interest in Dwight Howard, but the Golden State Warriors might have the edge on all of them with the right pieces of the puzzle to bring in arguably the best defender in the NBA.
With all the recent trade rumors involving Monte Ellis, the Golden State Warriors are definitely looking to make a deal and Dwight Howard might be directly in their crosshairs. It is uncertain how much interest the Orlando Magic would have in making a deal with the Golden State Warriors, but they would almost certainly be weighing their options this summer.
