Once Michael Jordan hit a game-winning shot against the Utah Jazz in the 1998 NBA Finals, the Hall of Famer finished an incredible career with a sixth NBA title as a member of the Chicago Bulls.

With six titles, six NBA Finals MVP awards, five regular season NBA MVPs and 10 scoring titles, Jordan cemented himself as the greatest basketball player of all-time. Jordan’s list of accolades and accomplishments could go on and on, but the list above is enough in itself to convince the majority of NBA fans, players, coaches and legends of the shooting guard’s place in history.

Even though Jordan made an ill-advised comeback with the Washington Wizards from 2001 to 2003, the NBA legend is still widely considered the greatest at his profession and has yet to see any player in the league surpass his accomplishments or replicate his dominance on the basketball floor.

Recently, Jordan was asked about if he were to start a team from scratch if he’d chose to start with Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers or Miami Heat’s LeBron James.

Both players have won a championship, an MVP award and have been given the distinction as the league’s best player at one time or another, but Jordan would prefer to go with Kobe or LeBron.

Although many would disagree with Jordan’s decision due to LeBron’s current status in the NBA, choosing Kobe makes sense considering his resume being close to the Bulls legend. Kobe has a shoot-first mentality and that killer instinct that has made him extremely successful during his time with the Lakers.

Jordan’s main argument for his choice comes down to championships. Kobe has five and LeBron has only just won his first with the Heat. The resume speaks volumes and has convinced Jordan of Kobe’s worth.
