NFL Week 9: Arizona Cardinals @ Green Bay Packers

Cardinals @ Packers Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 1 p.m. ET

The Green Bay Packers came into the 2012 NFL season with high hopes of getting back to form as a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the NFC. Most people believed that the Packers reaching elite status once again was a foregone conclusion with such a young and talented roster.

Unfortunately, it has been a bumpy road on the path to get back to form with three losses early in the season. Not only has Green Bay struggled, but the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears are both having breakout seasons.

With Chicago (6-1) leading the way in the NFC North division and Minnesota neck-and-neck with Green Bay at 5-3 heading into Week 9, the Packers still have a shot at winning the division title if they can continue their current win streak.

Coming into Week 9’s matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay is riding a three-game win streak and may have finally turned the corner this season. Although putting away the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8 was more of a challenge that expected, the end result was a fifth win on the year.

With the Week 10 bye week on the horizon, the Packers will try and put away a struggling Cardinals squad this weekend. Arizona has lost four in a row heading into this showdown with Green Bay and is in desperate need of a win.

As a right now, Green Bay is heavily favored to come out on top in this matchup at Lambeau Field with a -11 point spread. Although that spread is very high for a streaky Packers squad, Aaron Rodgers and company might be able to pull it off with home field advantage on their side.

Take the Packers at -11.
