Former Patriot Teddy Bruschi blasts Ochocinco for tweet

The New England Patriots have been one of the most successful NFL franchises in the league over the last decade or so with legendary head coach Bill Belichick and future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Tom Brady leading the way. Even though this team has been one of the best in the league for quite some time and is arguably one of the most storied of franchises in the NFL today, this team is not cocky and doesn’t make a spectacle of themselves in the media.

Before this NFL regular season began, the one new player on the Patriots that everyone was curious about was wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. With Ochocinco being extremely outspoken and one of the league’s biggest divas at the wide receiver position, the Patriots acquiring him was a surprise, but there was an understanding between the flamboyiant wideout and the three-time Super Bowl champion head coach before their relationship began.

Bill Belichick is a head coach that has gotten a reputation as a football genius and someone that doesn’t have much patience for troublesome players. With that being said, the Patriots would have Ochocinco on a short lease, but it appears that former Patriot Teddy Bruschi have been much tougher on the newcomer than Belichick.

After Monday night’s record-breaking performance by Tom Brady (517 yards, 4 TDs), Chad Ochocinco tweeted the following:

“Just waking up after a late arrival, I’ve never seen a machine operate like that n person, to see video game numbers put up n person was WOW.”

Even though this seems like absolutely nothing to 99% of the people that have read the tweet, this really set off NFL analyst and former Patriots linebacker Teddy Bruschi who had this to say:

“You’re not someone who’s on another team or watching TV,” Bruschi said. “You’re not an analyst. You’re a part of it. They want you to be a part of it. So get with the program because obviously you’re not getting it and you’re tweeting because you’re saying, ‘It’s amazing to see’? It’s amazing to see because you don’t understand it. You still don’t understand it and it’s amazing to you because you can’t get it.

“Wake up! If you’re just waking up now — I don’t know when this was, six minutes ago? — get out your bed and get to the stadium and watch some film if you still think it’s amazing. If you’re in it and you know what you’re doing and you execute out there, you don’t think it’s amazing. You know why? Because it’s what you’re supposed to do.”

Pretty harsh words for something so small, but this is the first strike against Chad Ochocinco as it appears that there will be absolutely no fooling around in New England.
