Chris Bosh will be part of free agent summit with Wade, Johnson and LeBron

This past Thursday, the NBA was looking forward to what would be arguably the best game of the playoffs so far with the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers taking on the Phoenix Suns in game five of the Western Conference Finals.

The highly anticipated battle between Kobe Bryant’s Lakers and Steve Nash’s Suns turned out to be arguably the most entertaining game of the postseason thus far, but earlier in the day, Dwyane Wade announced that the he would meet with some of the big name free agents to discuss who is going where and possibly teaming up with some of these players. Ron Artest saves the day for the Lakers in game five

The defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers have had an interesting postseason to say the least as they have had it very easy at times and have also really struggled at times.

In the first round of the playoffs, a young and motivated Oklahoma City Thunder team lead by arguably the best scorer in the league in Kevin Durant gave the Los Angeles Lakers a run for their money as they beat the defending champs twice. Even though the Lakers eventually advanced to the second round after six games, Kobe Bryant and company were tested much earlier than anticipated and many people started second guessing the Lakers chances of repeating as NBA champs. Celtics look to take 3 game lead in Eastern Conference Finals

Ever since the Boston Celtics won the NBA title against their arch rival Los Angeles Lakers back in 2008, Kevin Garnett and company have failed to reclaim their dominance on the basketball floor as they have been ravaged with injuries.

With KG seemingly never healthy and the rest of the big three failing to pick up the slack in his absence, the Boston Celtics haven’t been able to put healthy team on the floor that could compete for an NBA title. Along with their health issues over the last two seasons, the Celtics have also witnessed the Orlando Magic and the Cleveland Cavaliers quickly rise up the ranks in the Eastern Conference. Kobe Bryant lights up the Phoenix Suns in game one of West Finals

Coming into the Western Conference Finals, both the Phoenix Suns and the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers were riding high after being tested in the first round and pulling off a sweep in the second round. Despite both teams coming into their own in the second round of the playoffs, the Lakers have been able to really change public opinion by looking more and more like the team that won the NBA title last season. Celtics take game one and the early lead in the Eastern Conference finals

There are only four teams left in the NBA playoffs and for the most part, the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns and the Orlando Magic are no real surprise to have gotten this far as they are all playing at an extremely high level.

Even though many people anticipated the Dallas Mavericks playing in the Phoenix Suns place in the Western Conference finals or the Cleveland Cavaliers getting past the Boston Celtics to reach the Eastern Conference finals for the second straight season, that just hasn’t been the case and for good reason. LeBron’s offseason starts much earlier than expected

There was no other team in the NBA heading into the playoffs that was thought to have a better chance of winning an NBA title at season’s end than the Cleveland Cavaliers. The defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers were thought to have a legitimate shot at repeating, but the Cavs just looked better in every which way and had a lot of momentum moving forward.

Last season the Cleveland Cavaliers were thought to be the best team in the league heading into the postseason and were favored to win it all, but once they reached the Eastern Conference finals, they really underestimated the Orlando Magic and were dominated by Dwight Howard and company. George Karl will coach next season

Last season the Denver Nuggets were breakout team in the Western Conference after they made arguably the biggest trade in the franchise’s history by sending Allen Iverson to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Denver hometown boy and one-time NBA champion Chauncey Billups.

Even though this trade was criticized by many Denver Nuggets fans early on, everyone knew this was the right move for the Nuggets as Chauncey Billups would bring a much-needed leadership to the point guard position. Continue Reading…

Is Chris Bosh done in Toronto?

There is a lot of speculation and anticipation leading up to July 1st this summer as some of the best and brightest superstars in the NBA will officially become free agents.

Obviously everyone will be looking forward to where the two-time NBA MVP LeBron James will end up, especially if the Cleveland Cavaliers don’t win the title this season, but there are plenty of other big names players around the league that could easily turn around an NBA franchise. Could Big Ben Roethlisberger be getting traded?

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been arguably one of the most dominant NFL franchises in the league over the last decade or so. With two recent Super Bowl titles and a legitimate shot of becoming a Super Bowl champion every single season, the Steelers are without a doubt a force to be reckoned with in AFC and will be for quite some time.

Unfortunately, the Pittsburgh Steelers dominance in the AFC North might quickly come to an end next season as they seem to be ready to trade franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Continue Reading…
