The Pittsburgh Steelers have been arguably one of the most dominant NFL franchises in the league over the last decade or so. With two recent Super Bowl titles and a legitimate shot of becoming a Super Bowl champion every single season, the Steelers are without a doubt a force to be reckoned with in AFC and will be for quite some time.

Unfortunately, the Pittsburgh Steelers dominance in the AFC North might quickly come to an end next season as they seem to be ready to trade franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Over this past offseason, Big Ben was accused of sexual assault. This isn’t uncommon in this day and age as big name athletes seem to always be getting in trouble, but the one thing about the Big Ben case was that he was cleared of all wrong doing and no one is satisfied.

Even though Big Ben will not be serving any time in jail his future in the NFL could quite possibly be drastically different.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has already handed down an anticipated suspension for six games starting next season to Big Ben, but the Pittsburgh Steelers might have had enough of Ben Roethlisberger altogether as it has been rumored that they are actively seeking a trade.

Recently the Pittsburgh Steelers made somewhat of a shocking move by trading wide receiver Santonio Holmes to the New York Jets. Holmes also had some off the field trouble recently, but was also cleared and put it behind him. Unfortunately, the Steelers traded him anyway.

Reportedly, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be looking to trade Big Ben on NFL Draft day where they will be hoping to get a top ten draft pick in exchange for the two-time Super Bowl champion.

So far, no teams with a top ten pick have been interested enough in Big Ben to make a deal, but a trade could very well happen and the Steelers might have a rookie quarterback in exchange.
