New England Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady wants to play until 43

Arguably one of the best teams in the NFL over the past decade or so has been Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots. With three Super Bowl titles and one of the best quarterbacks of all-time behind center in Tom Brady, the Patriots have just dominated the AFC East division and the AFC Conference for that matter, but they have struggled as of late as teams around the league have gotten younger and better over time. Washington Redskins Albert Haynesworth fails first conditioning test

The one team in the NFL that has made more drastic moves than any other team in the league this offseason is the Washington Redskins. Not only were they able to hire one of the best NFL head coaches of all-time in Mike Shanahan, but they were also able to make a deal for six-time Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb which without a doubt is huge improvement for this struggling offense. The Redskins are predicted by many sports betting sites to finish last in the NFC East. Continue Reading…

Team USA cuts roster by four

Back in 2008, the best of the best in NBA formed what was dubbed as the Redeem Team in order to get Team USA or the US national basketball team back on top as the world’s best in the sport of basketball.

With the addition of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and arguably the best center in the league in Dwight Howard, Team USA was stacked and for the first time since 1992’s Dream Team was representing the US with its best players. Continue Reading…

Yao Ming could retire after next season

The Houston Rockets have been one of the better teams in the NBA over the past couple of years with a lot of promise for the future, but even though they had grand plans of becoming NBA champions with both Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming running the show, there plans have changed recently as McGrady has been traded and Yao continues to struggle with injury problems. Chris Paul will not be seeking at trade from the New Orleans Hornets

For the first time in the history of the NBA, the league has continued to get a lot of attention throughout the offseason and the popularity of the game could be at an all time high.

Even though the NBA might not be getting as much attention as it did when Michael Jordan ruled the world of professional sports, it is getting pretty close, especially with all the hype and media attention all the big-name free agents have gotten this summer. Continue Reading…

Offseason 2010 NFL Power Rankings

#1 Indianapolis Colts

Peyton Manning and company had one hell of a season last year as they were able finish the regular season with a 14-2 record and make it all the way to the Super Bowl to face the New Orleans Saints.

Unfortunately, Drew Brees and his crew got the best of the Colts in the Super Bowl, but heading into next season Indianapolis are the unanimous decision for #1 in the NFL power rankings. Continue Reading…

Chris Paul wants to be traded to the New York Knicks

The NBA offseason has been arguably the most action packed of any offseason in the NBA in the history of the league. Not only were there a lot of big-name free agents available to the highest bidder this summer with a handful of teams clearing enormous amounts of cap space to sign them, but there have also been plenty of trades that have gone down as well.

Obviously, the highlight of the NBA offseason this summer was the Miami Heat signing three of the biggest free agents available in Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and most notably LeBron James. This was unprecedented to say the least as not since the days of the ’04 Los Angeles Lakers (Shaq, Kobe Bryant, Gary Payton and Karl Malone) have we seen so many superstars joining forces on the same team. Matt Barnes has five teams still interested in signing him this summer

Earlier in the week, the consensus was that the free agent small forward Matt Barnes was going to be headed to the Toronto Raptors in a sign-and-trade deal with the Orlando Magic. The deal seemed set in stone, so much so, that Barnes posted on his Twitter account that he will be playing in Toronto next season.

Unfortunately, the deal hit a snag and ultimately fell apart as certain financial elements of the deal just didn’t work out. Now Barnes will be thrown back into the free agent market, but he has no lack of suitors as five teams are reportedly interested in signing the versatile forward. Continue Reading…

Still no deadline set for Brett Favre by Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings were arguably one of the best teams in the NFL last season as they were able to bring a great balance of dominant offense and lockdown defense which led them all the way to the NFC Championship game.

Unfortunately, the Minnesota Vikings fell just short in overtime against the eventual Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints and missed out on a Super Bowl appearance. Despite heading home after one of the best season’s in franchise history, the Vikings had high hopes for the future as they have arguably one of the best running backs in the league in Adrian Peterson, a promising young receiving corps led by Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin and of course the ageless Brett Favre behind center. The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off their second straight NBA title and absolutely loving the much needed time off this summer, but there is one player that is still licking his wounds as he limped his way into the NBA offseason.

Even though Andrew Bynum was mentioned in a few trade scenarios throughout the regular season, playoffs and into the offseason, the young center is still a member of the Los Angeles Lakers for the time being, but he is dealing with a knee injury that will require surgery once again.
