Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley gets caught with pot yet again

In professional sports these days, players can seemingly get away with almost anything. There is no question that occasionally big-name players get sent to the slammer for things they have done like Michael Vick (Philadelphia Eagles) and Plaxico Burress (New York Giants) of the NFL, but it doesn’t mean they can’t get right back to playing the sport they love and making millions in the process the minute they get out. Would Dwight Howard be a good fit with the Chicago Bulls?

The speculation surrounding pending future free agent superstar Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic seems to grow every single day as more and more teams around the league show interest and the trade rumors run rampant. The reality of Dwight Howard actually becoming a free agent after next season is very real as the superstar might be able to avoid being traded before the NBA trade deadline, but the best option for the Orlando Magic will be to trade him before that time to avoid not getting anything in return for their best all-around player. Terrell Owens undergoes surgery for torn ACL

The NFL lockout is still very much underway and there is no set date for a return to professional football in this country, but that hasn’t stopped players from making headlines. The most recent star player to make waves is Terrell Owens of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Even though Terrell Owens hasn’t exactly been in the headlines as much as he has been in the past few years, T.O. made a big splash recently by undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL. Normally this wouldn’t be big news for a veteran wide receiver in the NFL, but this is T.O. and with the star wideout being 37-years-old near the end of his career and a free agent, the plot thickens. Chicago Bulls in the running for Dwight Howard?

Last season was a rebirth of the Bulls franchise in the Windy City as point guard Derrick Rose went from an up-and-coming All-Star into one of the best all-around players in the league. Not only was Rose able to win his first NBA MVP award, but the team came together under new head coach Tom Thibodeau and got people thinking that the Bulls are back in contention for NBA title in the years to come.

With the Chicago Bulls looking as promising as they were last season and the fact the finished the regular season with the best record in the league, the future is definitely bright in the Windy City, but they will need to surround Derrick Rose with some better players in order to make it to the next level. Back in his days with the USC Trojans, former Heisman trophy winner Matt Leinart was considered to be one of the greatest college quarterbacks of all-time and a future Pro Bowler in the NFL. Even though Leinart was given a lot of hype out of USC and rightfully so, the promising young quarterback hasn’t been able to transcend his game on the professional level and therefore considered a bust.
