Champions of Paralympics Games have become: Leilia Adzhametova in the women's 100 metres run, Roman Polianskyi in rowing, Oleksii Fedyn in the 100 metres brace swimming, Denys Dubrov in the 200 metres swimming and Natalia Kosmina in table tennis.

Team Nigeria still have a good chance of moving further up on the medals table as they are now tied on six gold medals with likes of Brazil, Australia Netherlands and Uzbekistan just ahead of them.

Apart from the medal won in athletics by Onye, all the medals won by Team Nigeria came from Powerlifting with hope for more medals in the event.

Much of the success has been down to dominance on the powerlifting benches.
