Hillary Clinton began experiencing symptoms of what was later diagnosed as a "mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia" nine days before the illness forced her to leave a 9/11 memorial ceremony, her doctor wrote in a letter released by her campaign on Wednesday.
Questions have been raised about Clinton's health dating back to 2013, when the Secretary of State fell, hit her head and developed what she said was a blood clot.
Here are the highlights of her records: * Diagnosed with pneumonia last Friday Secretary Clinton was treated with Levaquin * Other drugs she is now taking: Armor Thyroid, Coumadin, Levaquin, Clarinex as well as B-12 * Vaccinations are "up to date", including Prevnar and Pneumovax * Mammogram and breast ultrasound: Normal Clinton's aides say she'll return to the campaign trail on Thursday.
Clinton's personal physician only later disclosed she had been diagnosed with pneumonia two days earlier, raising questions about her campaign's transparency.
"The remainder of her complete physical exam was normal and she is in excellent mental condition", the letter said. On Wednesday, he handed over a one-page summary of that exam, conducted by his longtime physician, Dr. Harold Bornstein, to Dr. Mehmet Oz while taping an episode of Oz's show. She said in interview with CNN earlier this week that she did not announce that she had pneumonia because she "just didn't think it was going to be that big of deal".
Health issues have dominated the campaign trail for days, sidelining other questions like funding for Mr Trump's foundation - now the subject of a probe in NY state - with less than two weeks to go before the candidates' first debate. On Sept. 2, Bardack saw Clinton and advised her to rest and prescribed antibiotics. She also takes allergy medication and vitamin B12. She receives routine dental care, had a normal mammogram and breast ultrasound, according to the letter.
The new information reveals more about Clinton's pneumonia diagnosis.
Hillary Clinton's campaign released a doctor's note Tuesday excusing her absence from the campaign trail this past week.
Tim Tebow Is Officially A Professional Baseball Player
He said he's "fully committed" to his job at ESPN - which, to be fair, he is good at - despite signing with the Mets. Baseball is a game of adjustments - you need to be obsessed with getting better to survive and advance.
Clinton has spent the past three days out of the public eye, recuperating at her suburban NY home.
The health details made public by the Democratic presidential nominee included a description of the pneumonia diagnosis Ms Clinton received last week.
Antoinette Romano, a retired legal aide from Lackawaxen who'd voted for Clinton's husband, President Bill Clinton, said Hillary Clinton's comments reaffirmed her decision to turn away from the party.
Chet Koske, who works at a Scranton diner, said he'd heard a lot of talk this week about the Clinton comment - none of it positive. The Democratic presidential candidate faces increased scrutiny about her health after a video showed her staggering while getting into a van on Sunday.
It's a line Trump lifted this week, after Clinton said at a fundraiser that half of Trump's supporters fit into a "basket of deplorables", including racists and xenophobes. Reporters were not allowed into the show, which is scheduled for broadcast Thursday.
"As all physicians do when seeing a patient for the first time, Dr Oz took Mr Trump through a full review of systems", the show's statement said. She's still taking all the same medications, Bardack said, with more specificity about the antihistamine the candidate is taking.
Dr. Lisa Bardack, chair of internal medicine at CareMount Medical in Mount Kisco, New York, said Clinton was treated with a 10-day course of Levaquin, an antibiotic used to treat infections.
