Phil Jackson says he is leaning towards retirement

A lot of speculation has surrounded the Los Angeles Lakers recently after winning their second straight NBA title. Not only do the Lakers have some free agents decisions to make with Derek Fisher and Jordan Farmar, but their number one priority is the re-signing of legendary head coach Phil Jackson.

Throughout the past couple of years with the Los Angeles Lakers, Phil Jackson has repeatedly said that he is uncertain what he will do when his contract is up, but despite his uncertainty, most people believed that he would ultimately return as the Lakers will have a legitimate shot at an NBA title for at least the next three or four seasons. The online sportsbooks have loved the Lakers over this time period and always favor them nicely.

Even though the Lakers have arguably the most talented team in the NBA right now with Kobe Bryant leading the way and coming off two straight NBA titles, the Zen Master still remains uncertain about his future, but has now said that he is leaning towards retirement instead of returning for a chance at his fourth three-peat.

The main concern for Phil Jackson moving forward is his health which has become increasingly harder to deal with every passing season. The Lakers might be winning multiple NBA titles with possibly a few more on the horizon, but the Zen Master’s body is taking a serious beating in the process as traveling has become extremely difficult.

Reportedly, Phil Jackson has undergone some medical tests which will determine whether or not his aging body can with stand yet another long NBA regular season and playoff run. At this point in time, Jackson believes retirement is a very possible, but the results of the tests will be the deciding factor.

The Zen Master is about to make the trip to Montana for the offseason as he does every year, but he is hoping the get the results before then and ultimately make his decision to stay with the Lakers for one more season or walk away from the game. if your looking for a great place to wager, check out the Bookmaker Sportsbook Review for all the best action.
