It has been almost a week since Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts decided to part ways and the plot continues to thicken with the four-time NFL MVP visiting multiple teams around the league in his search for the right deal and the right situation. There is no question at this point that Manning wants to sign with a team in which he can control the offense and seamlessly fit in.
The AFC Conference has been given the edge in this sweepstakes to sign one of the greatest NFL quarterback of all-time with the perennial Pro Bowler being comfortable playing in the same conference that he has played in during his entire NFL career. With that being said, NFC teams have taken a backseat as Manning continues his tour with interested franchises.
Even though Peyton Manning has dubbed the Denver Broncos and the Arizona Cardinals as his current favorites, the future Hall of Famer has not become content as he will now travel to Miami and Tennessee. The Dolphins have been interested in Manning ever since the debate started about whether or not he would return to the Colts. Miami will definitely try to make a strong pitch to sign him and help turn around the struggling franchise.
The Tennessee Titans on the other hand are a very familiar football to the elite quarterback. With Manning playing the Titans in the AFC South division more than any other team in the running for his services, the free agent might lean towards more similar surroundings in a division that will have a very similar schedule in comparison to the Indianapolis Colts.
Joining the Tennessee Titans might also appeal to Peyton Manning much like the Minnesota Vikings did for Brett Favre. A chance to play his former team two times a year might give him that payback factor.
