Pittsburgh Steelers @ Houston Texans Sun. Oct. 2, 2011 1 p.m. EST
After the devastating loss to the division rival Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, the Pittsburgh Steelers have received a lot of criticism as many NFL analysts believe that this could be the beginning of the end of the Ben Roethlisberger era in the Pittsburgh. Not only has Big Ben struggled this season, but the Steelers just seem to be missing that edge that has made them one of the most dominant teams in the league over the past half-decade or so.
Last week the Pittsburgh Steelers were big favorites to beat the Indianapolis Colts and improve to a 2-1 this season. Even though the Steelers did ultimately come out with the win in Week 3, the victory was by no means convincing or impressive as Pittsburgh could have very well lost to a very weak Colts team.
With that being said, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be lucky to even compete for a playoff spot in the AFC Conference this season as they just don’t seem to be the perennial Super Bowl title contender they once were.
In Week 4, the Pittsburgh Steelers will face another tough challenge from the AFC South division by going head-to-head against the Houston Texans. The Texans may not be able to get Pro Bowl running back on the field in Week 4 with that ailing hamstring, but that has had little effect on this team through the first three games of the season and will probably not affect the outcome of this matchup against the Steelers.
As of right now, the Houston Texans are favored to win this matchup with a -4 point spread. Even though the Steelers are more than capable of pulling out the win, the Texans are the better team right and will cover this spread.
Take the Texans at -4.
