Green Bay Packers @ New York Giants Sun. Dec. 4, 2011 4:15 p.m. EST
The perfect season continues! With 11 straight wins and a seemingly unstoppable offense led by NFL MVP frontrunner Aaron Rodgers, the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers look like the best team in the league once again. Even though the defense has struggled at times this season and looked like a big weakness of the Packers, Green Bay continues to fire on all cylinders heading into their Week 13 matchup with the New York Giants.
Despite playing very well at times this season with a banged up secondary and receiving corps, the New York Giants have started to fall off a bit as with three straight losses. Not only are the Giants losing ground to the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East division, but their hopes for the playoffs seem to be disappearing with every passing week as this team desperately needs to get back to form as one of the better teams in the NFC Conference.
In Week 13, the New York Giants will host the reigning Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers at New Meadowlands Stadium. This will be a must-win situation for the Giants as they will need to get back on the ball in the coming weeks in order to catch up to the red-hot Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East division. With a loss to the Packers, the Giants’ hopes for a playoff run could be shot altogether with so many teams in the NFC Conference competing for the two NFC Wild Card spots.
As of right now, the Green Bay Packers have been given the edge to come out on top in Week 13 with a -7 point spread. Despite the Giants playing at home, I believe the Packers get another easy win here and improve to 12-0.
