Is Jason Taylor heading to New York?

No matter how bitter a rivalry or hatred for another team can be in professional sports, money definitely talks and seems to lure in big name players to very unlikely places.

This NFL offseason has really started to get shaken up as of late after we saw two teams in the NFC East division, arguably the best division in football with the most heated rivalries, make a trade that has completely changed the look and feel of both these NFL franchises.

The Philadelphia Eagles are the one team in the NFL with the most dedicated fans and the most ruthless fans as the line between love and hate is as thin as the goal line. With that being said, if the Philadelphia Eagles don’t win the Super Bowl in the previous season, which they haven’t for a very long time, the fans of Philly will turn on them and usually point the finger at one player. That player over the last few seasons has been quarterback Donovan McNabb.

No matter how many Pro Bowls or NFC Championship games McNabb plays in, the Philly fans always seem to turn on him and this time for the last time as he has been officially traded to the rival Washington Redskins.

This kind of trade is unprecedented as trading within the division is not something many teams want to do, but it happen and the NFC East division will never be the same.

Another deal that might go down in the near future is former Defensive Player of the Year Jason Taylor heading to the New York Jets. Now Taylor is a free agent and an old one at that at 35 years old, but he is known as a Miami Dolphin and if he does become a hall of famer it will be in a Dolphins uniform.

With that being said, Taylor signing with the New York Jets is like a slap in the face to the Miami Dolphins who play in the same AFC East division and have a bitter rivalry with the Jets.

It is uncertain whether or not Taylor will sign with New York, but apparently the Jets are very interested and want to get a deal done as soon as possible.
