NFL Playoffs Game with New York Jets vs Indianapolis Colts in AFC Wildcard

AFC Wildcard: New York Jets @ Indianapolis Colts Sat. Jan. 8th 2011 8pm EST

The New York Jets have been a team that has gone through some serious highs and lows this season as they have tried to live up to their Super Bowl title contender expectations while dealing with quite a few off the field issues.

Despite having all sorts of problems on and off the field this season, the New York Jets have been able to make their way back into the playoffs once again and will be facing an old rival in the Indianapolis Colts. Not only will the Jets have an opportunity to get some revenge for the Colts knocking them out of the playoffs last year in the AFC Conference Championship game, but they will have a chance to prove to their doubters that they are for real with a win over Peyton Manning and company. This matchup is what Sunday NFL football betting is all about.

This matchup is the ultimate showdown by a potent offense and a lockdown defense. Even though the New York Jets have been a bit streaky on the defensive side of the football this season and may have handed over the distinction as the best defense in football over to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rex Ryan’s secondary is still very tough to beat and will almost certainly give four-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning a run for his money this weekend.

As of right now, the Indianapolis Colts have been given the edge in this playoff matchup with a -3 point spread, but despite Peyton Manning and his squad being favored as they are as good as it gets in the postseason, I believe the New York Jets will get the win and will be headed to the next round.
