Indianapolis Colts vs Philadelphia Eagles Sun. Nov. 7th 2010 4:15pm EST
After Week 1’s loss to the Houston Texans, the Super Bowl favorite Indianapolis Colts were thought to be in a bit of trouble and possibly no longer the dominant team that every thought they would be this season, but last week Peyton Manning and company were able to get back on track as they reclaimed the top spot in the AFC South division after splitting the season series with the Houston Texans.
With a win over the Texans last week, the Colts are in first place in the AFC South once again, but with the Titans and the Texans right on their tail, Indianapolis will have to keep up their winning ways in order to clinch the division at season’s end. While the online sports betting sites have the Colts as 3 point underdogs, it’s hard to do any NFL football betting against manning.
Coming into Week 9, the Indianapolis Colts will be riding a three-game winning streak as they head to Philadelphia to take on Michael Vick and the Eagles.
Even though Vick hasn’t played a single down for three weeks now, the extremely versatile and lightening quick quarterback will be the Colts main focus this Sunday. If the Indianapolis secondary can’t contain Vick this weekend, they could be in for a long day, but whether or not the superstar QB is healthy enough to play the way he did earlier in the season remains to be seen.
As of right now, the Philadelphia Eagles are favored to come out on top in this matchup with a -3.5 point spread, but even though they will have Michael Vick back under center, I believe that Peyton Manning and company will get their sixth win of the season.
The Eagles are more than capable of getting a win in Week 9 against the Colts, but with Peyton Manning under center and playing like the league’s MVP once again, I really don’t think Indianapolis will lose this game.
