Indianapolis Colts vs New England Patriots Sun. Nov. 21st 2010 4:15pm EST
There are a lot of divisional rivalries in the NFL these days that much anticipated throughout the NFL regular season and never seem to disappoint, but there is one matchup that isn’t a divisional rivalry which is always a battle from start to finish when superstar quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Tom Brady go head to head.
This year the Indianapolis Colts have been dubbed the team to win it all before the NFL regular season began, but just past the halfway point, Peyton Manning and company might struggle to even win the AFC South division. This matchup is always a great NFL football betting opportunity.
The New England Patriots on the other hand have exceeded expectations heading into Week 11 and are looking like legitimate Super Bowl title contenders. With Tom Brady playing at an MVP caliber level and the Patriots young defense doing just enough to contain opposing offenses, head coach Bill Belichick could be headed for another Super Bowl title, but he will have to contend with the Indianapolis Colts first.
As of right now, the New England Patriots have been given the edge in this AFC Conference heavyweight showdown with a -3 point spread. Even though the Colts have the ability to pull off the slight upset here, I believe that Tom Brady and company are without a doubt the better team coming into this matchup.
There is no question that both of these defenses aren’t exactly top notch at the moment, but the Patriots have been in this position plenty of times before and should continue to win football games as long as their potent offense keeps firing on all cylinders.
So there is a possibility for an upset here if Peyton Manning is on his game this Sunday, but taking the Patriots to cover is the safe bet!
