Before going head-to-head against the defending AFC West division champion Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, the Oakland Raiders made a bold move by acquiring one-time Pro Bowl quarterback Carson Palmer from the Cincinnati Bengals. This move turned a lot of heads around the league as Palmer was considered to be off the market and possibly past his prime in the NFL.
