Oakland Raiders @ Green Bay Packers Sun. Dec. 11, 2011 4:15 p.m. EST
The Oakland Raiders hit a bit of a rough patch last week as they got a lot more than they bargained for against a resurgent Miami Dolphins team. With the Dolphins dominating the Raiders from start to finish, Carson Palmer and company have had to go back to the drawing to see what problems they have on both sides of the football.
Now that the Denver Broncos are red-hot and have moved up the standings in the AFC West division, the Oakland Raiders will have to quickly get back to form in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. Unfortunately, things will only get harder in Week 14 as the boys in silver and black will head to Lambeau Field to take on the undefeated defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers.
The defending champs may have gotten a run for their money last week against the New York Giants at New Meadowlands Stadium, but they were still able to wrap up their 12th win of the season and keep the perfect season intact. The Raiders will almost certainly come out with new attitude on Sunday at Lambeau Field as they know their playoff expectations are in serious danger of being Tebowed, but I really can’t see them coming out on top against the best team in the league on their home field.
As of right now, the Green Bay Packers heavily favored with a -12 point spread in Week 14. Even though the cheese heads should get their 13th win of the season, I believe taking the Raiders would be the smart move as I don’t see Oakland getting blown out by two touchdowns or more.
