One of the best division rivalries in the NFL today is when the Green Bay Packers go head-to-head against the Chicago Bears. With the NFC North division title almost always on the line when these two NFL heavyweights throw it down, the games are always intense and a must-see for any avid NFL fan, but one rivalry that might get renewed this weekend is between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears.
With the Detroit Lions bursting onto the scene this season, Matthew Stafford and company have proved to the rest of the league that this team is very much for real and ready to contend in the NFC North division. Not only have the Lions showed they can get the job done on offense with the dynamic duo of Stafford and Pro Bowl wide receiver Calvin Johnson, but this team can also cause some problems defensively with Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairly leading the way.
With that being said, the Chicago Bears will no longer have another easy win against the Detroit Lions as Jay Cutler and company will be seriously tested in Week 10 at Soldier Field. Along with playing on their home field against the Lions this Sunday, the Bears are coming off perhaps one of their most impressive wins of the season against Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Now that the Chicago Bears have some momentum going they might be able to winning football games consistently, but they will have a tough challenge ahead trying to contain the potent offense of the Lions.
As of right now, the Chicago Bears have been given the edge in this matchup with a -3 point spread in their favor. This spread is only because of the home field advantage in my opinion and the Lions should pull off the upset.
