Kentucky takes out Ohio State and UNC to advance to Final Four

Coming into the 2011 NCAA Tournament, the consensus around country was that the Ohio State Buckeyes were without a doubt the best all-around team in college basketball. With a talented young big man in Jared Sullinger leading the way for the Buckeyes, Ohio State had been able to dominate the cup Titian throughout the regular season, but they have their work cut out for them when they reached the Sweet 16 against the Kentucky Wildcats (4).

There are many people that were thinking that the Ohio State Buckeyes weren’t going to lose this game against Kentucky Wildcats as they had proven in previous rounds just of dominant they can be. Despite that being the fact, Ohio State was just outplayed in every single way by John Calipari’s squad and ultimately fell to a better Kentucky Wildcats team.

This was a surprise to say the least as mostly with an anticipated discount outcome, but this is just a sign of things to come for the Kentucky Wildcats (4) as they when on to play yet another impressive game against Roy Williams’ North Carolina Tar Heels in the Elite Eight. Once again, the Wildcats were not thought to get out alive against a very talented Tar Heels squad with a head coach like Roy Williams calling the shots on the sidelines , but he ended up being out coached be John Calipari in this game and were unable to make to the Final Four.

Now the Kentucky Wildcats (4) will have their work cut out for them once again as they are set to face off against arguably the best team left in the tournament in Jim Calhoun’s UConn Huskies (3). With well could be the player of the year in Kemba Walker and a talented young squad around him, the Kentucky Wildcats (4) could be in for run for their money in this Final Four showdown.
