Coming into the 2011 NCAA tournament, the Ohio State Buckeyes (1) were considered to be arguably the best all-around college basketball team in the country. With a superstar forward Jared Sullinger leading the way, the Buckeyes have played brilliantly the season and continued that brilliant play in their first game of the tournament.

With a big win over the Roadrunners of San Antonio, the Ohio State Buckeyes (1) displayed their dominance and showed that the will be a serious force to be reckoned with from here on out. Even though they play in a highly competitive East Region with the likes of other great teams competing for a spot in the Final Four like the Kentucky Wildcats (4), Syracuse Orangemen (3) and the North Carolina Tar Heels (2), I believe Jared Sullinger and company will be extremely tough to beat and quite possibly the next National Champion in college basketball.

Despite the fact that this team is taking it one game at a time, the toughest match of for the Ohio State Buckeyes (1) will come against the aforementioned teams, but they might be given a run for their money against a team that has become famous for pulling off upsets in the NCAA Tournament.

On Sunday afternoon, the best college basketball team in the nation will take on the George Mason Patriots (8) in what could be an epic battle between David and Goliath. Obviously, even though no one will be protecting an upset in this game, the Patriots will be tough to beat and might be able to take the Buckeyes the distance.

As of right now, the Ohio State Buckeyes (1) are favored with a -11 point spread. That is a bit high in my opinion as that isn’t giving enough credit to the George Mason Patriots (8), but the Buckeyes should come out on top regardless.
