#1 Chicago Bulls (40-11)
All season long the Chicago Bulls has had to deal with the constant injuries to reigning NBA MVP Derrick Rose whether it is with his back or his groin. Despite the numerous injuries and missed games by their best player, the Bulls are still dominating the competition as the first team to reach 40 wins and clinch a playoff spot.
#2 Oklahoma City Thunder (37-12)
After beating arguably the most talented team in the league in convincing fashion this past Sunday in the Miami Heat, the Oklahoma City Thunder has cemented themselves as the team to beat in the Western Conference and perhaps the entire NBA from here on out.
The two-headed monster of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant continues to light up the scoreboard as they have now become the only two players in NBA history to both score 40+ points in a single game on the same team, twice!
#3 San Antonio Spurs (33-14)
As they continue to fly under the radar this season, the San Antonio Spurs are inching closer and closer to clinching the second seed in the Western Conference and making another run at an NBA title in the Greg Popovich era.
The additions of Boris Diaw and Stephen Jackson just might be what they needed to compete with the big boys from here on out.
#4 Miami Heat (35-13)
After the disappointing and devastating loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Miami Heat has been exposed for their flaws. Whether or not they can bounce back and actually be a legitimate NBA title contender from here on out remains to be seen.
#5 Los Angeles Lakers (30-19)
The addition of up-and-coming point guard Ramon Sessions has been a godsend for the Los Angeles Lakers as they have finally gotten the missing piece to the puzzle and are starting to get a lot of buzz as a potential title contender out West.
