Indianapolis Colts vs Washington Redskins Sun. Oct. 17th 8:20pm EST
With so much parity around the league this season, it seems like any team with a decent squad has an opportunity to be Super Bowl bound, but the one team that everyone thought was the clear favorite to become Super Bowl champions this season has struggled as Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts just haven’t been able to play consistently.
One team that has been one of the most consistent teams in the NFL this season is the revamped Washington Redskins. With two-time Super Bowl champion head coach Mike Shanahan calling the shots on the sideline and six-time Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb under center, the Redskins are in first place in the NFC East division and threatening to give the heavyweights in the NFC Conference a run for their money come playoff time.
Coming into Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts, the Washington Redskins have won two straight games against very good football teams in the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers. Even though the Eagles and the Packers have had their fair share of struggles themselves this season, they are still forces to be reckoned with in the NFC Conference this season and solid wins for the Redskins moving forward.
As of right now, the Indianapolis Colts are favored to win this matchup with the Washington Redskins with -3 point spread, but even though I believe that Peyton Manning and company could very well come out on top in this one, I am going with the Redskins to pull off the upset as they have played as good as any team in football right now.
It will be a bit risky to take the Washington Redskins against the Indianapolis Colts, especially with Washington banged up backfield, but Donovan McNabb and company have shown they are the real deal this season and a win over the Colts would open some eyes around the league.
