Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos Sun. Nov. 14th 2010 4:05pm EST
The AFC West division has been a joke over the past half decade or so as the San Diego Chargers have just dominated the competition and come out with the division title in six of the last seven years, but this season things have really started to change as the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders have turned into the two best teams within the division.
Coming into Week 10, the Kansas City Chiefs (5-3) will be heading into the Mile High City to take on the lowly Denver Broncos (2-6) and even though Matt Cassel and company have played extremely well this season, they are coming off a disappointing loss the Oakland Raiders (23-20) and will be looking to keep their first place standing in the AFC West division with a win over Josh McDaniels’ squad.
Even though the Denver Broncos are sitting in last place in the AFC West division, Kyle Orton and company have shown signs of promise throughout the season, especially on the offensive side of the football with a potent air attack that rivals the best in the league.
Unfortunately, despite their resurgence on offense, the Broncos haven’t been able to get more than two wins all year long and will most likely be headed towards their seventh loss of the season.
As of right now, the Kansas City Chiefs have the slight edge in this AFC West showdown with a -1 point spread, but even though the spread indicates a close game, I believe this will be a blowout as the Chiefs will dominate the Broncos from start to finish.
Obviously, whenever there is a divisional matchup like this one there is a potential for an all out battle, especially in the AFC West, but the Broncos just look helpless this season which leads me to believe the Chiefs should cruise to victory.
