The United States national soccer team has exceeded expectations up to this point in the 2010 World Cup, they may have only drawn the first two games they have played in the tournament against England (1-1) and Slovenia (2-2), but they still have a chance to advance to the knockout stage with a win over Algeria on Wednesday.

Throughout the first two games of the 2010 World Cup, Landon Donovan and company have struggled to put score goals in the early going as they have had to come from behind in both matches against England and Slovenia. Continue Reading…

Lakers beat Celtics in game seven to win second straight NBA title

These NBA playoffs have been entertaining to say the least with a lot of surprises and underdogs going much further than anticipated. Albert Haynesworth wants a trade from the Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins have gone through some drastic changes this offseason, but despite acquiring a Pro Bowl caliber quarterback in Donovan McNabb and a future hall of fame head coach in Mike Shanahan, the Skins seem to be on the verge of another big change by trading away arguably their best defensive player in Albert Haynesworth.

Before last season, the Washington Redskins were thought to have landed a really big fish in free agency by signing arguably the best defensive player in the league in Albert Haynesworth. Even though the Tennessee Titans had one of their best seasons in franchise history, they weren’t willing to sign Haynesworth to the kind of money he was demanding and the Redskins took advantage. The upcoming free agent class in the NBA is arguably the most talented and most impactful the league has ever seen as some very big names in the NBA could be heading elsewhere this summer.

Can John Wall and Gilbert Arenas share the same backcourt?

This NBA regular season was an absolutely nightmare for the Washington Wizards in more ways than one as they quickly went from a team ready to compete in the Eastern Conference to arguably the worst team in the league once again.

Is Tony Parker done in San Antonio?

The San Antonio Spurs have been arguably one of the most dominant teams in the Western Conference and the entire NBA for that matter for quite some time and their four NBA titles to prove just that, but any team with a lot of miles on them will start to break down at one time or another and that might be exactly what’s happened to Gregg Popovich’s dominant squad.

Despite being the seventh seed in the West heading into the NBA playoffs, the San Antonio Spurs played more like the second seed as they were able to knock out their Southwest division rivals in the Dallas Mavericks in the first round with relative ease. Continue Reading…

Pacman Jones gets another new start with the Cincinnati Bengals

Throughout the history of the NFL, especially in today’s game, players around the league have been getting into a lot of trouble off the field and causing a lot of problems for their current teams. Despite these primetime athletes constantly getting in serious legal trouble off the field, NFL teams still seem to be giving these troubled players a second, third and fourth chance to resurrect their careers.

With players in the past like Michael Irvin, OJ Simpson and Lawrence Taylor and players in the league today like Tank Johnson, Randy Moss, Santonio Holmes, Ben Roethlisberger and Pacman Jones, the NFL seems like a breeding ground for criminals. Continue Reading…
