Still no deadline set for Brett Favre by Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings were arguably one of the best teams in the NFL last season as they were able to bring a great balance of dominant offense and lockdown defense which led them all the way to the NFC Championship game.

Unfortunately, the Minnesota Vikings fell just short in overtime against the eventual Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints and missed out on a Super Bowl appearance. Despite heading home after one of the best season’s in franchise history, the Vikings had high hopes for the future as they have arguably one of the best running backs in the league in Adrian Peterson, a promising young receiving corps led by Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin and of course the ageless Brett Favre behind center.

Even though many people doubted his decision to come back and play for his former team’s (Green Bay Packers) hated division rivals, the Silver Fox had arguably the best season of his 20-year Hall of Fame caliber career as he threw for 33 touchdowns, 4,202 yards and a career low seven interceptions.

Needless to say, Brett Favre can still play at an extremely high level and could quite possibly lead this promising young team to Super Bowl title. The problem is, he needs to decide whether or not he wants to come back and even though most people think he will return, there is still no answer or deadline for the 11-time Pro Bowler. The odds are set so far by leading online sportsbooks who have the Vikings at +850 to win Superbowl XLV in 2011.

Reportedly, Vikings head coach Brad Childress stopped over in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to give Brett Favre a little visit recently, but even though the one thing on his mind is trying to convince the Silver Fox to comeback, the two didn’t talk about a possible return as they had more a chat between friends.

So just like last season, and the one before that, Brett Favre is being indecisive once again with no deadline or any kind of timetable about his decision whether or not to return for one more season and one more chance at winning a Super Bowl title before walking away from the game. If your wanting to get your NFL sports betting in early, you may want to hold off if your betting on the Vikings to see whether they Favre comes back or not.
