A 13-year-old Pennsylvania girl whose disappearance sparked a two-day search was found dead in a stream near her Clarion home Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Andrew Schneider, the girl's father, began to cry as he held a flyer with a picture of his daughter the morning before her body was found.
"I had asked her dad if he'd seen her, and he said no, so we went to look for her, and I haven't seen her since then", Tina Schneider, Shevy's mom, said in a WTAE article.
The body of Shevy McGiffin was discovered Sunday by the Clarion Volunteer Fire department during a search effort.
'She's a very lovable girl.
An autopsy conducted today revealed that the girl had drowned; there isn't any foul play suspected in her death, state police said.

Family members told CBS Pittsburgh Shevy wasn' t the type who would run away from home or go off with strangers. "I did", she said.
Shevy disappeared on September 9 around 6:45 p.m., while making what should have been a three-minute long walk from the Dollar General back home.
Shevy's mother fears her daughter was abducted and said she was seen talking to a man in a Buick, she told WPXI-TV.
Police say the case remains under investigation.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help defray funeral expenses. "She was a shy child, she kept to herself". An autopsy was scheduled for McGriffin on Monday, though a time for the autopsy report's release was not immediately available.
