Saturday, the Texas Rangers will host the New York Yankees for the second game of the American League Championship Series. With C.J. Wilson on the mound as the Rangers starting pitcher, Game 1 went really well Friday night for the Rangers through the seventh inning.

The Rangers were leading the Yankees 5-1 at the start of the eighth inning then the Yankees finally got in gear and quickly took over with a 6-5 lead on the Rangers and was able to hold on to that lead through the end of the game. Dallas Cowboys vs Minnesota Vikings Sun. Oct. 17^th 4:15pm EST

The Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings are two heavyweights in the NFC Conference that have really struggled to live up to expectations this season as they haven’t been able to get anything going over the first five weeks of the season and as a result only have one win heading into their showdown in Week 6.

In what is being called the Panic Bowl, the Cowboys will head to Minnesota to take on Brett Favre’s Vikings in what could be the turning point for both of these teams. Whatever team comes out on the losing end in this battle between once Super Bowl title contenders will almost certainly be forced into making some serious changes either at head coach or on the field. Baltimore Ravens vs New England Patriots Sun. Oct. 17^th 1pm EST

In the first game that these two AFC Conference heavyweights played in the playoffs last season, the Baltimore Ravens absolutely dominated the New England Patriots from start to finish as up and coming running Ray Rice took full advantage of the Patriots weak secondary and led the team to victory and the next round of the postseason.

This season the New England Patriots have still had their fair share of problems on the defensive side of the football, but they played pretty well in the first five weeks of the season as they will head into their rematch with the Baltimore Ravens sporting an impressive 3-1 record in Week 6. The Cleveland Browns seem like a team that no matter what changes they make they are always destine to lose every single week. New York Jets vs Denver Broncos Sun. Oct. 17^th 4:05pm EST

After the impressive performance against Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football last week, the New York Jets have become the best all around team in the NFL in my opinion as they are a dominant on both sides of the football and have all the confidence they need moving forward.

In Week 6, Rex Ryan and company will head to Denver to take on the Broncos in what will almost certainly be a blowout in my opinion. Not only will the Broncos defense have no answer for the Jets potent run and pass offense, but the New York defense will without a doubt stifle the Denver offense as they will lock in on the passing game and try to force Kyle Orton in throwing interceptions all day long. After the 4-1 loss to the Dallas Stars, the Wings are not happy at all; however, if it’s not for the reason you think and instead it is with the hit that was taken on Franzen by the Dallas Stars’ defenseman Mark Fistric. In the first period of the Detroit Red Wings’ game on Thursday, center Johan Franzen suffered a hit and didn’t return to the game.

There were eight minutes left in the game’s first period when the hit came in the corner of the defensive zone of the ice. Franzen went down hard but did eventually get up and skate off the ice to not return – and no penalty was ever called on this play. Continue Reading…

Friday night kicks off the 2010 American League Championship Series in Texas at Arlington Ballpark with the Rangers hosting the New York Yankees, less than a week after grilling the Rays in Game 5 to land their spot here today in the 2010 ALCS. The Yankees, on the other hand, swept their opponent, the Minnesota Twins, to land in familiar ground tonight.

The Yankees have won 27 World Series titles as well as 40 pennants while this is the first time the Rangers have ever won a postseason series. Against Texas, the Yankees have a nine-game winning streak in the postseason. The Rangers were knocked out of the playoffs by the Yankees in their three postseason appearances between 1996 and 1999. Oakland Raiders vs San Francisco 49ers Sun. Oct. 17^th 4:05pm EST

The Oakland Raiders are coming off of their most impressive win of the season as they were able to get the best of the division rival San Diego Chargers for the first time in 13 games, but even though the silver and black seem to be headed in the right direction, they will be facing off against a very desperate team in the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.

Before the NFL regular season began, the San Francisco 49ers were considered to be the clear favorite to come out on top in the NFC West division and no one could argue that fact, but now they have started the season with a 0-5 record, their chances of being division champs looks doubtful at best. After being informed that Old Spice was going to cut their sponsorship with Stewart-Haas Racing, Tony Stewart knew he had some work cut out for him to find a new sponsor to fill their blank space on his cars and uniforms.

For the two-time Sprint Cup Series Champion and 2010 Sprint Cup Series Chase contender, the length of time it took him to find a new sponsor was probably overwhelming and tedious. It took Stewart five months to find a new sponsor to fill the shoes that Old Spice was leaving behind.
