Oakland Raiders vs San Francisco 49ers Sun. Oct. 17th 4:05pm EST
The Oakland Raiders are coming off of their most impressive win of the season as they were able to get the best of the division rival San Diego Chargers for the first time in 13 games, but even though the silver and black seem to be headed in the right direction, they will be facing off against a very desperate team in the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.
Before the NFL regular season began, the San Francisco 49ers were considered to be the clear favorite to come out on top in the NFC West division and no one could argue that fact, but now they have started the season with a 0-5 record, their chances of being division champs looks doubtful at best. If nothing else, this makes for an interesting NFL football betting weekend.
Despite being winless on the season heading into Week 6 against their cross town rivals in the Oakland Raiders, the San Francisco 49ers are a still a very dangerous team as they have come close to winning almost all of their games this season and could be ready to have a breakout performance this Sunday on their home field.
As of right now, the 49ers are favored to win this matchup against the Raiders with a surprisingly big spread of -6.5. In my opinion, that is way too high for a team that hasn’t won a single game all season long and is going up against a team that has just beaten the San Diego Chargers in convincing fashion.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to me if the 49ers did beat the Raiders to win their first game of the season, but I think it will not be easy as the Oakland defense is playing extremely well right now and will look to take advantage of the 49ers struggling offense.
