The Brett Favre fiasco continues as the 20-year veteran quarterback has still yet to make up his mind about returning to the Minnesota Vikings this season, but even though he hasn’t officially made it clear that he will return or chose to retire, the three-time NFL MVP was visited by three of his closest teammates recently and the outcome has been favorable to say the least for the Vikings.
We are not sure how the online sportsbooks will react if it ends up that Favre returns to the team. It will be pretty interesting to watch unfold.
Apparently, Ryan Longwell (kicker), Steve Hutchinson (guard) and Jared Allen (defensive end) went to Mississippi and spent the night at Brett Favre’s house last night to try and convince their 11-time Pro Bowl quarterback to come to Minnesota or retire if that is what he wants to do.
Even though most people would’ve thought that this move by the Minnesota Vikings teammates wouldn’t have done much, it turns out to be the right move to get the ball rolling as Brett Favre got on a plane and headed to Minnesota.
It is uncertain whether or not Brett Favre will return or retire, but he is now in Minnesota and could be practicing with the team as early as tomorrow.
Personally, I believe every Minnesota Vikings fan, including myself, have taken a sigh of a relief as all reports seem to indicate Brett Favre returning for one more go around, but what has fans really worked up is that the team could be better than last year and a Super Bowl title could be on the horizon.
The two teams in the NFC Conference that will give the Minnesota Vikings a run for their money this season will be the Dallas Cowboys and the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.
Ironically enough, the NFL regular season will start where last season ended up against the New Orleans Saints on September 9th.
